If metal or clear braces with fun colors are your thing… we do that too!

Our philosophy has always been about giving our patients an exceptional experience utilizing the latest in cutting edge technology in a caring and comfortable environment. We take pride in offering Kirkland, Redmond, and Bothell WA communities the latest and best technology.

Damon® Q System

Dr. Neal is proud to offer The Damon System.  A technologically advanced braces system, the Damon System is an innovative combination of low force/ low friction brackets and high-tech wires that work together to give you state of art treatment. Damon Q provides our patients with faster treatment time, fewer appointments, improved patient comfort, exceptional results and a broader smile with fewer extractions. Other styles of braces use elastics or active clips that “bind” archwires in place. This creates friction and pressure that act like parking brakes and can slow down treatment.

While all patients see the beautiful changes to their teeth, many patients will notice a change to their face! We like to think of Dr. Neal giving our patients a “brace-lift” by filling out the dark corridors of their smile. Using Damon braces, achieving your perfect smile can be easier and faster than you ever imagined.

Some of the benefits of Damon Q braces are:

  1. Cleaner
  2. More comfortable
  3. Faster treatment time
  4. Fewer appointments

Damon Clear™ Braces

Virtually invisible, Damon Clear has clear advantages over traditional braces and aligners. Damon Clear is part of the innovative Damon System, which combines tieless braces with high technology archwires that are clinically proven to move teeth fast and comfortably with truly spectacular smile and facial results. Damon Clear has all of the advantages of the Damon Q System with one additional benefit… Clear braces with minimal metal!

Some of the benefits of Damon Clear braces are:

  1. Clear braces with minimal metal
  2. Cleaner
  3. More comfortable
  4. Faster treatment time
  5. Fewer appointments

Many patients ask… Why can’t I just wait to do treatment after all of my permanent teeth are in? The answer is complex, and that is why Dr. Neal would like to see all patients who are 7 and up… regardless if they have a referral from their family or pediatric dentist.

What is the advantage of two-phase orthodontic treatment?

Two-phase orthodontic treatment is not for every patient. Two-phase treatment is a specialized process combining tooth straightening and physical, facial changes. The purpose of two-phase treatment is to maximize the opportunity to accomplish the ideal healthy, functional, aesthetic result that will remain stable throughout your life and minimize the amount of extractions and surgical intervention which may be needed.

What happens if I don’t need Phased treatment ?

Dr. Neal is sensitive to the financial implications of orthodontic treatment. If a patient does not need phased treatment, they will be placed in our observation program. If no treatment is needed, we will continue to monitor your child and give complimentary evaluations until orthodontic treatment is needed. This is our gift to you!

When do we get each phase?

Generally, Phase 1 starts any time between age 7-10. Most Phase 1 treatment will take 9-12 months. There is then a “rest” period where Dr. Neal will continue to evaluate your child and their development. Retainers will usually be worn during this period of time. The 2nd phase will usually start when all baby teeth are lost and will consist of either Invisalign or traditional braces. For most kids this is typically around 12-14 years of age.
