Africa
We had an amazing opportunity for our family to go to Africa on a mission trip in 2018. We got to go to Tanzania to a village outside of Mwanza, which is one of the largest cities in Tanzania. They have hardly any infrastructure, limited running water and garbage collection doesn’t exist. We set up in this church with these amazing people that helped us and we saw hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of patients for dental health.
We had three families and six dentists go with us and all of our children, and our children got to assist us in doing the dentistry and it was incredible. We got to see our children rise to the occasion, which all of you parents out there know it’s nice to see them do good for people and get out of our little bubble that we create for them.
They were so poor, but yet so happy. It was a trip of a lifetime, and I hope that we can do it again.
